New Sunrise Salute design gives U.S. Bank Visa® Debit cardholders a way to honor the brave wherever they go

A newly designed U.S. Bank Visa® Debit Card, launched in May to help commemorate Military Appreciation Month, gives cardholders a new way to show gratitude and reverence for active and retired military service.

U.S. Bank created the new debit card design to give cardholders a way to express their affinity for those who are actively deployed, as well as those who have made sacrifices on behalf of their country in the past.

“Meeting the needs of the military community is core to our culture at U.S. Bank, and we are committed to honoring those who serve our country,” said Steve Mattics, head of U.S. Bank Retail Payment Solutions. “Our new Sunrise Salute debit card design features a powerful image that captures the spirit of service and honors the brave.”

U.S. Bank is nationally recognized as one of America’s top corporate supporters of military service members, veterans and military families. In addition to military debit cards, U.S. Bank offers specialized products and services to support active military members, veterans and their families, including those stationed at home and abroad, those who are relocating and those who have transitioned into civilian life after active duty

For military members who are transitioning to civilian life, the bank provides support to initiatives such as Workshop for Warriors, which delivers career services to the military community through grants, sponsorships and volunteering. U.S. Bank also works with the non-profit Hiring Our Heroes to connect members of the military community to career opportunities at the bank.

Named a Best for Vets workplace by the Military Times for 12 years running, U.S. Bank supports military and veteran employees through expansive leave policies, free iPads for families to stay connected during deployments and the company’s award-winning Proud to Serve business resource group. Proud to Serve is comprised of 5,000 employees across the company who, for more than a decade, have helped shape how U.S. Bank supports military and veteran employees, clients and community members.
