In addition to the regular tax bills, some states will issue a tax bill out of the normal tax cycle. These bills are referred to as Supplemental (CA), Interim (NJ, NY, PA), Added Assessment, or Levy (MD). These types of bills are usually sent to the homeowner and aren't included in escrow. The borrower should be responsible for paying this tax.
