How do I assign or change my payment account for bill pay?

Whenever you need to change the payment account a bill is paid from, digital banking is available. Please be aware, this won't change the payment account for pending transactions. 

Online banking steps:

For the best online experience, we recommend logging in at usbank.com.

  1. Select Bill payments located at the top of the page, then choose Pay bills & U.S. Bank accounts.
  2. Locate the bill you'd like to manage, then find the account it's paid from. 
  3. Select the drop-down menu to choose the desired payment account, then select Done.

U.S. Bank Mobile App steps:

For the best mobile banking experience, we recommend logging in or downloading the U.S. Bank Mobile App.

  1. Select Pay bills & transfer at the bottom of the dashboard.
  2. Choose Pay a bill, then select the bill you'd like to manage.
  3. Select the balance displayed. On the next screen select the Pay from field.
  4. Choose the desired payment account, then select Save
